Bolstered by two top-five finishes and four top-10 showings in both races of Saturday’s Pace Patriot Invitational, the boys featuring a 20-team field and the girls 16 teams, the Eagles added to their collection of first-place finishes on the season.
And so did Smith, the reigning Daily News Runner of the Year.
The Fort Walton Beach junior’s finish of 18 minutes, 29.08 seconds obliterated the girls’ field.
