Scared of Flying? Choose Qantas, the Safest Airline in the World

If the thought of flying freaks you out but you still want to travel the world, you should definitely choose Qantas, which has been ranked the safest airline in the world by Airline Ratings. Winning the title for the third year in a row (beating the 407 carriers the site monitors), Australia’s Qantas is definitely doing something right when it comes to safety measures.

According to the site, their “rating system takes into account a range of factors related to audits from aviation’s governing bodies and lead associations as well as government audits and the airline’s fatality record.” Thanks to Qantas’ “fatality-free record in the jet era” and “extraordinary record” over its 95-year history, it’s not a shock that they have come out on top.

If Qantas doesn’t fit your needs, you can also choose another carrier from the remainder of the top 20 (in alphabetical order): American Airlines, Alaska Airlines, All Nippon Airways, Air New Zealand, Cathay Pacific Airways, Emirates, Etihad Airways, EVA Air, Finnair, Hawaiian Airlines, Japan Airlines, KLM, Lufthansa, Scandinavian Airline System, Singapore Airlines, Swiss, United Airlines, Virgin Atlantic and Virgin Australia.
